The G League is a fun, safe, home-and-away basketball competition founded by Perth Wildcats legend Ricky Grace. Bring your whole team and keep your own coach, or join solo and we'll place your child in a team coached by a professional Grace Basketball coach. Boys and girls, Year 1 to 12.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO CAN PLAY IN THE G LEAGUE?

Boys and girls from Year 1/2 right through to Open (Year 9–12), at every level — total beginners through to experienced players. It's a mixed league with a division for every age, so there's a spot for your child wherever they're at.

DO WE NEED OUR OWN TEAM TO JOIN?

Not at all — but if you've got one, bring it. Register your whole team and you keep your squad together and your own coach all season. No team? Register as an individual and we'll place your child in one, coached by a professional Grace Basketball coach.

WE ALREADY HAVE A COACH — CAN THEY STAY WITH OUR TEAM?

Yes. When you register as a team, your coach stays with your squad for the entire season. You're simply bringing them into a well-run, competitive Saturday competition.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE GAMES PLAYED?

Games are held every Saturday at either Peter Carnley Catholic College in Wellard or Emmanuel Catholic College in Success.

MY CHILD HAS NEVER PLAYED BEFORE — IS THAT OK?

Absolutely. Every division is safe, supportive and welcoming. All they need is to want to give it a go.

G League Summer 2026/2027 Season Dates

Season Start: 24 October 2026 – 12 December 2026

Holiday Break: 13 December 2026 – 31 January 2027

Season Resumes: 6 February. 2027

Public Holiday Bye Round: 27 February 2027

Semi Finals & Grand Finals: 20 March 2027
